Prayer- Strength over Cancer for the Holidays

Christ,

You know that this cancer journey can drain me leaving me overwhelmed and fatigued.  The holidays have always been a time of revitalization for me and renewal as I celebrate the joy of Your birth.  In many ways, I need more Christmas this year as the clouds of cancer continue to creep into my days.

So please Christ, fill me with your strength.  On the days of a fun event, let me wake up renewed with your strength ready to face the day.  Grant me the blessing of endurance to withstand the travel or the noise or the crowds that can sap my energy. Above all, give me the strength of character to know …

  • When to ask for help.
  • When to say “not now”.
  • When to go home.
  • When to take a med.
  • When to say “I can’t”.

You are my fortress!  In you I am strong!

Into your mighty hands I place my heart,

AMEN
