Karl Kamrud, Department Leader, Edward Jones
Karl grew up in Northern MN and received his bachelors degree from Concordia College, Moorhead MN. He completed his Masters in Business Administration in 1993 from Syracuse University and has worked in the Information Technology space since 1987, most currently with Edward Jones. Karl is active with his kids, volunteering as a basketball coach and confirmation mentor. Karl has been married to Peggy since 1990 and has 3 children. Karl and Peggy are members of St. John Lutheran Church in Ellisville, MO.
John Kelly Tripp is Karen’s husband of 30 years and is honored to support and participate in Karen’s vision for Cancer-Companions. Kelly has earned a BS in Finance from Florida State University (where he met Karen) and an MBA with emphasis in computer systems. He is currently employed as a finance and technology expert with Express-Scripts, the nation’s largest prescription drug services provider, based in St. Louis, MO. Organized and process focused, Kelly is making sure that the activities and finances of Cancer Companions are developed and managed for the long term health of the ministry. He and Karen are members of St. John Lutheran Church in Ellisville, MO.
Bob grew up in the Boston area and has a B.S. in Marketing from Curry College in Milton, MA. In his corporate career he had Marketing Management positions with Gillette Inc., Dunkin Donuts International, McDonalds, General Mills Corporation, and United Van Lines. Since 1992, he has been the owner of Commercial Coils, Inc., a wholesale supplier of HVAC coils and laundry and dry-cleaning coils. Bob has served on several Boards within Kiwanis Camp Wyman in Eureka, Missouri and has headed the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce and the Chesterfield Kiwanis organizations. In addition Bob is the Co-leader with DePaul Cancer Companions. He has been married to Judy Andersen since 1998. Bob (a throat cancer survivor) and Judy (a breast cancer survivor) are members of St. John Lutheran Church in Ellisville, MO.
Heath grew up on a dairy farm in Southeastern Minnesota. After graduating from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, he began teaching middle school at St. John Lutheran School in Ellisville, Missouri where he has been an educator since that time. Technology has long been an interest and skill he has used and taught to others. In 2012 Heath graduated with a masters in theology from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. Cristen has been his wife since 2005, and they have a son named Trace.
