BOOK REVIEW OF THE MONTH: The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren

A couple of years ago my pastor encouraged our entire church to read The Purpose Driven Life over the same 40 days.  Warren designed the book as a 40 day devotional addressing topic from service to suffering to surrender.  Why? to come to one all important answer: What on earth am I here for?  The book is a journey to address not only a search for purpose but a look at what the things are that might be holding you back.

My small group at church did the 40 days together.  I needed that.  Even though it’s only 40 days, it was good for me to have someone to be accountable with and keep me focus.  Alone or with a friend, dedicate 40 days to exploring who God is and what He’s up to in your life.  He’s definitely up to something and it’s better for you to be looking for it than see it pass you by.
