BOOK REVIEW OF THE WEEK: Illuminated by Matt Bronleewe

I picked up this book last night after dinner and finished it today.  Really.   Matt Bronleewe’s book Illuminated is definitely a high pace, can’t-put-it-down type of book.  The plot is a present day man hunt for clues which are found in three Gutenberg Bibles.  For Archaeobiblioist (guy who studies Bibles) August Adams the plan is to find the  secret clues in three stolen Bibles, solve the 600 year old mysterious riddle and keep the bad guys from killing his ex-wife and 8 yr old son.

I love all the historical references annd the intrigue is unstoppable.  There’s bad guys that have bad guys and a few traitors and one real sicko.  This book has more violence than my usual reads but the pace gets you through the evidence of evil and back into to the plot.  Lots of great sets like secret tunnels under Washington and a european treasure hunt.

If you like action and suspense, Illuminated may be the book for you.
