BOOK REVIEW OF THE WEEK: Quaker Summer by Lisa Samson

Lisa Samsons writes about real women like you and me.  Quaker Summer is about a suburban wife and mother stuck in her hectic life and starving for something to feed her soul.  Sounds typical but the intensity comes when you discover that Samsons’ characters think like you think, feel like you feel and struggle like you struggle.  This book leaves me with the feeling that the author has found me out and is sharing my deepest secrets.  The result- conviction, renewal and restoration- not just for the characters but for me.  This book will push you to look at your life as a wife and a mother through the eyes of God.  That’s a good thing.  Give it a read…

About Karen Tripp

Beyond being a Christian Counselor and the President of Cancer Companions, Karen loves to read (she's a great reader) and loves to sing (she's a bad singer) in her home near St Louis, MO.
