BOOK REVIEW OF THE WEEK:Ragman and Other Cries of Faith by Walter Wangerin

This  is one of those books I keep buying and giving away and buying and giving away.  It’s a collection of stories by a pastor that is willing to not only speak in metaphor but reveal to his readers some rough lessons he learned about being a servant of Christ. The people he met annd the way God taught him to love them resonate in my mind.   Just when I thought I understood what Jesus was saying about washing feet, Wangerin opened my eyes that servitude in Christ is so much more.  They are short easy reads but I assure you, at least one of the stories will hit you profoundly.  Give it a try!

About Karen Tripp

Beyond being a Christian Counselor and the President of Cancer Companions, Karen loves to read (she's a great reader) and loves to sing (she's a bad singer) in her home near St Louis, MO. Cancer has personally touched Karen's personal life through her dad - a 23 year colon cancer survivor. Impacting lives for Christ through her speaking, writing and counseling fills Karen with a passion which infuses every task she approaches. (except matching socks. Karen hates matching socks.)
