Cancer and Exercise: How Diet is Important

Did you know that even if you are active it is still just as important to eat healthy as it is to workout? Studies done by The President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition have found that even people that are at a healthy weight but may not be eating well are associated with major health risks that can cause illness such as heart disease hypertension and certain types of cancers! Studies have also found that the presence of type 2 diabetes and hypertension are being found in children of younger ages due to inadequate diets.

In order to prevent any health problems it is important to promote a healthy diet not only in your life but your children’s life as well! However, it can be hard to stick to a diet, so here are some tips!

  • Move all of your healthiest food to the front of your fridge. This is a simple way of always seeing the best foods first.
  • Pre-packaged snacks. I know how easy it can be to eat an entire bag of chips!
  • Replace dessert with some fruit. Fruit has natural sugars that are not only good for you but can conquer your sweet tooth!

Following these easy steps can help you live a healthy lifestyle!
