NEWSFLASH!: Cancer Companions Eastern North Carolina Region UPDATE

Karen is just home from a whirlwind 10 day trip to Eastern North Carolina. Let me tell you God was certainly busy! Blessings all over the place!
Having already trained Cancer Companions last fall from Fairview United Methodist in Mooresville, NC, this time Karen assisted 4 new churches get started:
Mount Hermon Lutheran Statesville, NC
Journey Church Raleigh, NC
Western Avenue Baptist Statesville, NC
Mount Herman Baptist Danville, VA

The number of trained Cancer Companion peer counselors trained in the area went from 9 to 26 with plans for the next trainings in June. Lots of new churches hearing about Cancer Companions from Carey to Durham to Charlotte. Karen also built relationships with UNC Cancer Center and Duke Cancer Center. Yes, the Lord defiantly went before her.

One highlight was Karen speaking briefly at Mount Hermon Danville’s Sunday services and then presenting How to Help Your Loved One Cope with Cancer for the community on Sunday evening. If you would like Karen to speak in your community, give her a call. 314-814-0044.
