Prayer for Cancer Caregiver Fatigue

Be with me.  You know how tired I am caring for my loved one with cancer.   I am tired from so many things.  All the tasks in my life before cancer are still there.  Now there are more tasks and more expectations from our medical team that often seem beyond my ability.  I can’t make them eat.  I can’t keep them form pain.  I can’t give them rest.  And perhaps the hardest part is the burden of seeing my loved one struggle when there is so little I can do to make a difference.

  • I need your strength to make it through each and every day.
  • I need your courage to face the struggles I cannot see.
  • I need your peace to endure the struggles I can see.

You are my refuge.  On you I can place my burdens so you may lift my weary soul.  Thank you Lord for being my salvation.

Into your perfect will I place me and my loved one.  AMEN

Isaiah 40:31

…those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint.

About Karen Tripp

Beyond being a Christian Counselor and the President of Cancer Companions, Karen loves to read (she's a great reader) and loves to sing (she's a bad singer) in her home near St Louis, MO. Impacting lives for Christ through her speaking, writing and counseling fills Karen with a passion which infuses every task she approaches. (except matching socks. Karen hates matching socks.)
