SONG OF THE WEEK: The Savior’s Face by Rachel Lampa

Rachel Lampa has a great voice.  It’s deep and rich and so passionate as she shares with us the fragility of herself and t he strength of her savior.  In her song Savior‘s Face she not only shows us the range of her voice but the range of her heart.  This song speaks to everyone but if you’re like me struggling  to be sensitive to the needs of others, this song is especially for you.  Fortunately in addition to truth it has a bucket of hope too.  Look at the words:

Have you ever said something you wish you could take back

Have you ever left somebody’s heart in broken pieces

Well I have, I have
Have you ever compromised, been someone you don’t like
Lied to yourself so many times that you believe it
Well I have, I have

We’re the same, we’re all the same
Everyone’s a roaming soul and we don’t have the strength to change
Who we are, cause who we are can only be changed by grace
And I have
I’ve had my Sunday morning, had mercy call my name
We’re all the same until we look at the Savior’s face

I love songs that give me truth and hope in Christ.  Amen to that!
