SONG OF THE WEEK: Words by Hawk Nelson

Hawk Nelson is definitely singing this song for me.  If there is anything in my life that has the power to lift me up or crash me down it’s my words.  After 52 years on the planet I am amazed at how often the words from my mouth can hurt others.  BLAH.  I love the way this song Words with great lyrics and a wonderful rhythm also reminds me the key to managing my mouth: “I don’t wanna say a word Unless it points the world back to You”

They’ve made me feel like a prisoner
They’ve made me feel set free
They’ve made me feel like a criminal
Made me feel like a king

They’ve lifted my heart
To places I’d never been
And they’ve dragged me down
Back to where I began

Words can build you up
Words can break you down
Start a fire in your heart or
Put it out

Let my words be life
Let my words be truth
I don’t wanna say a word
Unless it points the world back to You
