SONG OF THE WEEK:”The Words I Would Say” by Sidewalk Prophets

Who do you know that needs to hear these words?

Three in the morning,
And I’m still awake,
So I picked up a pen and a page,
And I started writing,
Just what I’d say,
If we were face to face,
I’d tell you just what you mean to me,
I’d tell you these simple truths,

Be strong in the Lord and,
Never give up hope,
You’re going to do great things,
I already know,
God’s got His hand on you so,
Don’t live life in fear,
Forgive and forget,
But don’t forget why you’re here,
Take your time and pray,
These are the words I would say,
WHAT great lyrics!   Sidewalk Prophets really hit a home run with this song.  What if, instead of saying “see ya later” or “have a nice day”, we  spoke simple truths like  “God’s got a hand on you!” or “You’re going to do great things, I already know”.  or what if you looked at someone and just said “Don’t give up hope?”   Too often we don’t know what to say when others are hurting when all they need are these “simple truths”.

Send this to a friend that you feel could use a few “simple truths” today.

As you can tell from the video, this song was used in the movie Fireproof- another must see!
